E-Verify integration for staffing agencies

Work authorisation checks tracked inside onboarding, not beside it.

What E-Verify is

E-Verify is the US federal system for confirming employment eligibility against I-9 data. For a staffing firm the risk is rarely a single bad check — it is losing track of which consultants are due, expired, or missing a document when an audit arrives.

What SG Connect does with E-Verify

  • Tracks I-9 and work authorisation status against each employee record
  • Manages E-Verify and USCIS case progress inside the onboarding workflow
  • Raises alerts before authorisation documents and certifications expire
  • Keeps a full audit trail and document version history

Why it matters

Compliance failures in staffing are almost always administrative rather than deliberate — a document that expired while nobody was watching. Expiry alerts tied to the employee record are what turn that from a discovery into a diary entry.

Setting it up

  1. 1Open the Compliance module in SG Connect
  2. 2Record work authorisation details during onboarding
  3. 3Set the alert window for expiring documents
  4. 4Review the compliance dashboard as part of your weekly operations check

E-Verify integration FAQ

Does SG Connect submit E-Verify cases directly?

SG Connect manages case tracking, documents and the audit trail around E-Verify and USCIS processes. Formal submission continues to run through the government systems themselves.

Does it handle immigration tracking as well?

Yes — H-1B, LCA and RFE tracking sit alongside I-9 and work authorisation, with the same expiry alerting.
